3 Day Setti Fatma and Ourika Valley Trek.
The valley of Ourika is particularly green throughout the year.
This part of the High Atlas is exceptionally beautiful and affords great views across mountains and lush valleys, with adobe Berber villages, rivers and woodlands.
Day 1: Transfer to Imlil - Tizi n´Tamatert - Ouaneskra
After a transfer to Imlil from Marrakech we load up the mules and trek up the valley towards Tacheddirt, passing by Tizi n´Tamatert (2279m) to arrive at the village of Ouaneskra (2200m) in the valley of Tacheddirt. Here we spend the night in a Berber gîte or in tents. Approx. 4 hours walking.
Day 2: Ouaneskra - Tizi n´Tacheddirt - Timichchi
After breakfast we pack up and trek from Tacheddirt towards Timichichi (2000m), passing by the Tizi `n Tacheddirt (3172m). After the pass we descent past the villages of Labassene and Timichchi. We spend the night in a Berber gîte. Approx. 6 to 7 hours walking.
Day 3: Timichchi - Sett Fatma - Marrakech
Today we trek from Timichchi towards Setti Fatma (1700m). All along the journey there are Berber villages in the valley: Tiourdou, Anfli, Tadrart and Chiker. After lunch we continue via Agadir `n Aït Boulmane and on to the centre of Setti Fatma. If there is enough time we will visit the waterfall in Setti Fatma before returning to Marrakech. Approx. 4 to 5 hours walking.
